Is humor confused for immaturity?

Not by everyone obviously but by some, I've noticed someone can be playful in a humorous manner and it's seen as immaturity but I personally don't believe it should because isn't humor important?

If so what crosses the line?

In society it's supposedly known that the majority of women are normally more serious than men but both can be just as equally humorous even tho it's known that women are normally more mature than men but I've noticed men normally are just more open with their humor than women and it's not like this for everyone clearly but is it possible that maybe humor is mistaken for immaturity? Or high levels of humor?

Personally I believe that women that are humorous and goofy make the world spin but I also noticed many women that are humorous and goofy don't show it openly like men do, does it have to do with maturity?
