Humor COMBINED with arrogance?

I'm trying to develop the "attractiveness" that women desire, I'd like some assistance in understanding an intriguing discovery. This is under the flirting category because I will only be speaking of the initial approach of appearing attractive, within your personality, and NOT about "future potential".

When someone points out a "quirk" or insecurity within a woman, in a playful manor- it seems to spark a trigger within the woman I've been talking with.

- This is the "discovery" that I've made, rather than being the cookie-cutter of a guy that approaches using "Whoa I really like ___" or his own line.

What'll it be- is it truthfully playful and acceptable to be a funny while being arrogant about your self-knowledge (and not your self-image)?

Humor - is deadly attractive to women

Arrogance w/o being overly cocky - is a way of different feeling.

Most men approach women thinking "if I treat her like gold, she will like me"; in turn, most women are approached a lot from this mindset of your stereotypical "average man". This means that women who are average->attractive can usually pull off being a bitch while having the man still play cat and mouse.

- This is possibly the MOST annoying thing that men can do to women.

So to answer your question- by using both humor and arrogance in the same situation. You are distracting her mindset of pushing off perspective man (using the arrogance) because it makes her feel / think "What?! I was just told I'm attractive 5 minutes ago, this guy must be being fake- but he did it playfully?! does he like me?" <-- the ending part is about your humor. The humor shows that your safe and interesting to be around.

I completely agree with your analysis, except for the word "arrogance." I think that once you cross the threshold to true arrogance, any charm or intrigue will be destroyed for the girl. I'd describe it more as a "take it or leave it" attitude. Refrain from being arrogant by truly offending her, but act as though you don't particularly need a positive result. This is the 100% confidence that garners you the control and subsequently makes her interested. There is a lot to be said for the old saying "the excitement is in the hunt" and this is true for girls too sometimes! So if you put her in a situation where she doesn't think that she will be relentlessly pursued, it often piques her interest to the point that she will take the bait.

Humor is extremely important, if your fun to be around girls will want to be around you. As for arrogance, forget it, the second your considered arrogant its basically all over. However being cocky, if done the right way, works. Its not as full on as being arrogant and can be played off as humour, its also all about confidence which is another plus. When your considered arrogant, it looks as though you think your superior, where as being cocky says your confident in who you are, without the superiority assumption.

This is what I see it as, but it may be different where you are as I'm not from the US.

"discovery?" There are nothing to discover about dating. There is no science to dating. It really pretty f**king simple. There are few things we know we were put on this earth to do. One thing I'm pretty f**king sure about is reproduction. If anybody out there is unsure how to approach a girl, this what you say - "Hi." If she says "hi," you're in. If she ignores you or tells you to p*ss off, oh well, look around; she's not the only girl in the world.

This crap only confuses guys, and frustrates the hell out of girls. People have made dating, which should be incredibly simple, into an inquisition that everyone hates and no one understands.

Let me point out something - saying you've made a "dating discovery" is about as stupid as saying "I've found a new way to eat with a fork." If you can't get it done with "hi," it's not going to happen. "Hi" - it's simple, effective, and to the point. If you're a douche bag, being cocky, arrogant, funny, etc. isn't going to negate the fact that you're a douche bag. Picking on a girls insecurity might work if she's got daddy issues. Douche bag and psycho is a perfect match; good luck with that.
