Do we need to prepare for the 2024 election?

I went to the supermarket to replenish what was in my freezer. I could not find a decent ham, I bought one and it was mostly fat. There were zero roast beefs. They were advertised on sale. There were other items that were missing. The produce looked terrible and was very expensive. It reminded me of Biden;s first year. I wonder if We should all stock up and prepare in case Biden should somehow be elected.

Just how far do right wingers have to kick the doom can down the road before they consider the possibility that their media is lying to them? Do right wingers ever wonder why all the things right wing media promised would happen under Biden haven't actually happened? Everything that Trump said would happen if Biden was elected has happened. We have high inflation, high gas prices. no more energy independence, millions of illegal aliens, endless wars and a weak military. These are all things that President Trump predicted. Which one did not happen?

Everything Trump set up to happen has happened, sure, but Buden has mitigated it as much as possible. And then there is a lot of stuff that has not happened. Working backwards, the military is not 'weak'. The far right says it is because they need to be negative any time there is a Democratic president, but in real life nothing about the military has really changed in the last 30+ years in terms of rate of strength gain.

The food problem might be because of the football games and Thanksgiving dinner coming up.

People don't just eat chips and dip and watch the game like we did. Now they have bar-b-que's, potato salad, vegetables instead of chips to dip in the dip.

It was not like this last Thanksgiving. Not only was the stuff scarce and expensive the quality was very substandard. I read a book about Cuba and the difference in the standard of living when they became a Communist country. It was sort of like that.

I have been living off of Subway egg and avacado sprinkled with black olives sandwiches for quite sometime now. A friend picks one up for me everyday $20. I have them put a whole avacado on it so it costs more, and eggs are not cheap either.
But the rolls they make them with aren't very good. The whole top of the bread peels off - flakes, not like it used to be. Kinda weird though.

They are preparing us for a world where everything will be worse. The food will not be as good. Think of the book The Jungle by Upton Sinclair.
Our homes will need to be colder in rhe winter and hotter in the summer. We won't be able to drive anywhere we want. Enriching will be more expensive and taxes will be so high we will never be able to retire

I don't have a house, so no taxes there. But our state has State taxes and sales taxes of course.

My son's caregiver had to move them to a cheap town because the taxes on her house went up too high.
I know you are going to be stocking up on food and maybe some supplies, but is it really going to do any good if what you're talking about comes to light?

We're already stocked up! The problem a few years ago was that SO many people really do NOT know how much of each item they REALLY use. People were buying 4-5 CASES of TP. We use between 1 and 1.5 rolls per week. A case is 30 rolls, so these people were buying 150 rolls at a shot. Well, shoot, no WONDER places- even Costco- ran out and then had to limit quantities. If people learn the cycles of the food stores in their area and play the sales, they can stock up and build a significant stockpile if they are slow but consistent. Our stores run on 13 week major sale cycles with a 6 and 7 week "minor" sub cycles inside each 13 week cycle.

Europe is getting the worst of it since the USG pushed them to cut off Russian energy and destroyed the NordStream pipeline to make sure they depend on US resources.
