I don't know if the Pinkertons are involved in that because of a strangely similar last name but they are still around. The point being, when you are conducting a propaganda campaign on the 8th largest website in the USA reaching an audience of 4.3 billion views per month, you're not an average "Joe" Pinkerton. That's intentional espionage by an intelligence agent. You could say it's black propaganda to smear Yahoo or the Pinkertons for those who would pick up on it by using a pseudonym, but their editing staff approved it to be rolled out the door so Yahoo is on board with it. If that's the case why did they ever stop? There are still tribes in South America, New Zealand, Australia and Africa that still are or were hunting the same way our stone age Ancestors did yet its the men who were doing the hunting.

I doubt gender roles would have been as clearly defined as in recent history and I suspect women were more butch. Yes men would be stronger but you don't need strength to move animals towards a trap.
But I can't see how they can know who was better

Why don't the stoneage, Bronze and Iron age tribes that hunt today on Africa, Australia, New Zealand and South America not have women hunters? Surely it would be a thing with those tribes in South America that have never even come into contact with outsiders?

i imagine sometimes there was no choice in times of scarcity and desperation to have women hunt, or in some groups it was common, but i see little doubt that male features such as thicker skin, overall size and strength, and movement tracking wouldn’t position them as obviously superior hunters in general.
