I'm a non-union government employee. I make six-figures less than I did in the private sector. The only feds that are overpaid are the low-end employees with career GS-6 jobs who are one step above the interns on the hierarchy of who I use at work.

They dint have superior pay packets than their Non-government equivalents. You might ask why they should have better pensions or benefits but they are paying for them themselves. The government doesn't give anyone anything, nothing free in this world.

Government employees should not pay taxes. There should be an equivalent pay but the cost and effort of taking our taxes is a pain in the butt.
