I'm mostly Pro unions, I feel like they do more good than bad.
How about you? Overall are you more Pro or Anti?

It depends on the profession. Unions are only supposed to apply when it's a skilled trade or profession that requires training, extensive education, or isn't easy to find replacements for. Electricians and plumbers need to have unions; Amazon warehouse workers and wait staff do not.
And one of the jobs I had, had union dues. They took a sh*t-ton out of my paycheck every month. Like 100-something dollars every paycheck for some bullsh*t. I was a concierge. We did NOT need to be in a union! In fact, that's one of the reasons they fired all of us, one-by-one. They wanted new non-union workers they could pay an extra sh*tty low wage to, like $10 an hour. So unions are not always a "good thing." Usually they only work out for the ones at the top of the union.
I'm neither Democrat nor Republican, and not anti or for unions. These poll options are trash, so the best I can vote is "I don't know" when in reality, the true answer is "I'm Independent and it depends on the profession and how skilled the workers are."
Well, I can't please everyone with a different poll option, so I try to keep it simple. And of you weren't in a union they would have fired you anyway of they can get people doing the same job for much less
No, they wouldn't have fired us, because hiring new people and going through training, costs more money than it is to keep on existing people who already know how to do the job and are willing to do it. They literally only got rid of us because we were in a union, and we didn't even have a say-so of wanting to be in the union or not.
They fired me for the flimsiest of bullsh*t; "using the computer for non-work related things" like being on YouTube, even though I worked 12 hour shits at night, and literally EVERYONE at that company used the computer for "non work related things" to the point it was barely even a rule that existed and was never written anywhere. And I wasn't even officially terminated; they took me off the position and never gave me a new position to go to saying "we'll find a new location for you," but I already knew what was up and wasn't going to pretend like it wasn't just BS to get rid of us all, so applied to a new place and got hired two weeks later.
Then that's stupid of the company, not the Unions fault.
Unions sound like a good idea on paper, because it sounds like a good way to make a good amount of money. The problem is, with things like tenure, workers can reach a level where they are next to impossible to fire. Then there will be no incentive for that worker to actually do a good job.
They will clock in, do what they are told and will not do any more than that. No effort to go higher up the ladder, to take risks and try new things or go above and beyond.
It's a big risk for a company to do something like this unless they can afford to have their workers fuck around after they do the bare minimum.
Some people will be like that. But if you don't have unions then employees get exploited, especially in corporate environments. And if people aren't getting treated well they won't work hard anyway.

Pro unions. Companies look out for their own best interest (financial gains) so workers should look out for themselves to keep companies from exploiting them which they will not have a problem doing if you let them.
They (companies) don't give a damn about you nor your family nor will they ever meet your family.
