I have been in the teamsters for a year. I recently had an accusation made against me for not following safety protocols. The union rep went to bat for me, did an independent investigation and was able to prove I didn’t violate safety protocols. It’s so refreshing not getting railroaded by corporate yes men every time some corporate pet makes accusations.

It’s literally true, nobody fucks with the Teamsters, even Trump was afraid to mess with the brotherhood.

I do belong to a union. There are a handful of states that implemented the Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) which reduced Social Security benefits for those receiving pensions from work not covered by Social Security, People that paid into Social Security and then worked for a government agency gets their Social Security benefits reduced by as much as 40%. . This was recently repealed and the union was instrumental in getting it repealed.
