Because being someone's partner is not all that it's made up to be. If you the woman in the relationship you find that now you are the maid. You need to cook and clear and do everything in the house that needs to be done. When you were alone it was easy. Nothing got dirty or very little did it wasn't a major job. Maybe for guys it's the same thing having someone in your life is complicated. It's nice but not always the be all and end all.

Because they’re saving themselves from being cheated on or their partner leaves them after a short while. It’s not worth it.

B/c a lot men don't need as much companionship. They can get along with the occasional girl friend and a dog.
