The problem is Americans are stupid. Media and politicians need to explain things in as few words as possible in order for Americans to have even a chance of understanding it. But of course the tradeoff is leaving out nuance and details, which means the information is less accurate. At what point does it become a lie? Well, I guess that depends on who is saying it. If it's a republican the answer is "never," and if it is a de I rather the answer is "immediately, and we will find details they didn't include to make it so if none are instantly apparent!"

Let me put this in terms you can understand...

Suppose you go to a job you hate, but... well, you gotta put a roof over your head, food in your family's bellies, clothes on your back, and heat for the winter. So, you deal with it. But, you really hate that boss...

So, one day, without thinking this through, you decide to unload. You say to your boss "You are fucking douchebag and I hate you and your company! I hope you and your entire family get a painful cancer!"

Your boss says, doing his perfect Trump impression, "You're fired!"

OK, so let's dwell on this.

You just got fired and you don't have another job.
