How does a homeless person live exactly and survive each day?

I can't imagine getting kicked out of my apartment without any family just sitting on a sidewalk in my bathrobe and sick 🤢. What would I do? I don't have my nice luxury station wagon anymore. After I bought it, I became I'll and it stayed in the garage for 15 years.
I'm so stressed ready about how many people are homeless now. I read about it here all the time.
Who would have ever imagined America 🇺🇸 is like a third world country now. 😥😩

You know , I briefly went back to Australia last year for 6 months or so , but not my actual home state , so I was renting a small apartment on the city fringe , I did a morning walk that was about 5k , Id walk past the homeless in Roma park Brisbane , now I was working , I had a station wagon , I'm technically a multi millionaire ( but fully invested , reliant on that cash flow of tenants and investment ) , and I had this thought , if I were to loose this apartment , I'm with these guys , Id be fcked ( there is a rental crisis in Australia ) , I'd never felt this way insecure , I hated the work I was doing , and expenses were mighty high.

Now , some of these people are drug affected , but many now are not , and it was a massive wake up calls for me , when I worked the city of Melbourne as a sales rep years ago , the only homeless were funny drunks near a pub , now people with a job have nowhere to live , its horrendous.

So sadly , its not just USA and the Walmart car parks.

It's not that bad at all. We were homeless for years when I was younger. We stayed in cars, shelters, on friends' floors, and even slept on the sidewalk. The shelters were actually really nice. If I were homeless again, I would try to stay in one. The shelters usually kick you out during the day, so we would hang out at a day shelter or wander around town. I enjoyed the day shelters and made friends at them and the night shelters. We would also bounce between soup kitchens for meals, and we even helped serve them to others. Most homeless people are pretty cool and chill to talk to and hang out with. There are tons of pantries to get food from too. We would hang out in stores, libraries, and parks during the day for fun, water, and AC too.

So, honestly it wasn't that bad. The walking everywhere was what annoyed me the most. Next would be the time schedules or having to leave everywhere and be to places on time to get in.

I think people are afraid of being homeless just because they are spoiled and used to luxuries. But, most of the world doesn't have these luxuries in the first place. Even our homeless have more luxuries than most of the world. When you put it into context, all of your needs are still met, you're not worried about dying unless you're really messing up somehow, and everything is still good. You can stay in shelters, work, and save up money super fast to get back on your feet if you want. Buying a tent is also an option for more freedom and independence.

Depends on country. In my country homeless people are homeless due addiction. In any bigger city there are homeless shelters with food, beds, possibility to shower and making laundry. However there is a rule, the person who wants services of those facilities needs to be sober and most homeless people are alcoholics or drug addicted.
Most homeless people disappear from streets while wintertime, some in those facilities others get to their families for winter months. However when in April sun starts to shine first homeless people appear in tourist cities like mine.

I just posted a question about how the American 🇺🇸 (my country) wouldn't give money to the homeless because they all thought they would just buy booze or drugs with it. So, they didn't give them money.
But now things have changed and little children, mom's, dads, old people, all kinds of people are homeless now.
These shelters you speak of, they are all filled up in America 🇺🇸. They're running out of food at the food banks. It's really bad where I live. You're lucky!

And lots of the drug addicts are doctors, business people, lawyers, etc. But they go to work high on cocaine and no one knows any better.
People don't have to be homeless because they're on drugs because we interact with people everyday and don't know they're on drugs. Ya know why we don't recognize those drug addicts? Because they aren't sleeping outside on a sidewalk.

There are functing drug addicts and non functioning ones. The homeless ones are usually non functioning and have far worse addictions. Many also suffer from mental illness. Some are criminals hiding. And, many are people who just made bad decisions in life. There have always been homeless people of all kinds. There are actually less homeless people in the U. S. now than there were when I was a kid. Some areas likely solved their problem while others are newer to it.

With the way things are going, I'm thinking a used motor home might be a good idea. My rent is $900, so I think I could be able to afford a used motor home. So far my rent hasn't been a problem, but things can change, and I don't want to end up sleeping in my tiny car.

But the truth be told, 90% of the homeless are drug addicts. And Biden doesn't seem to care.

I drive by a homeless encampment every day, There must be about 2 dozen , some living in tents. Every day is another adventure in Biden's America.

With all these homeless& yet the government is allowing 1000s of illegals into the country.
