I would never use anything from Japan as "healthy sexual balance" in their art. Don't get me wrong they got some good shit but productive help you in the real world roll models they are not.

Artist in general are the worst role models but life is less without them. Like vincent van gogh cutting off his own ear or Mayhem's a heavy metal band unofficial cover image of the singers suiside. That's metal as fuck role models they are not. Even dr suess had some dark things about him same style but off putting.

I've honestly never seen Animae, but I know Japanese believe their culture is superior and can't handle criticism and are extremely defensive of their culture. So I'm not surprised that they would deny allegations of sexism.
