I did. I didn't care for it. Some individual scenes were good or at least looked good, but the historical inaccuracies are inexcusable. Ultimately, the story of Napoleon can't be done justice in just a movie or two - it demands an entire series. The movie attempts to address this by basically blowing through decades of events without putting them into context, which results in an unsatisfying mess.

I did watch the trailer and while the costumes look amazing and the battle scenes spectacular, Joaquin Phoenix seems a bit too old for the role of Napoleon (who was 25-30, when he first started his career as a general and crowned emperor). in my opinion they could have cast a younger actor for the role, such as for instance, Robert Pattinson and Phoenix could play an older Napoleon
