Maybe if affordable, would make me the owner right? Like full property ownership they belong to me type stuff? Perfect, because then I can either set them free or make sure they are free in practice. That way another slave owner isn't going to mistreat them.

Aside joke, most of people still are slaves who serving the lords. This is modern slavery. I talking about low salary and hard working. So, slavery is not removed from the world just because Abraham Lincoln defeated the enemy.
