No, I can't say I've ever aspired to be a human parasite living off the misery of other people in an unfair political and economic system. Anyone who needs that to compete is pathetically weak.

But that is essentially where we are with today's Oligarchs. We are sliding downhill into economic slavery. The proverbial frog being boiled to death in a pan of water that is being heated ever so slowly. Unions are being destroyed and made illegal or impossible. Labor law protections are being erased in "Right To Work" states. Workplace safety regulations and environmental protections are being eliminated. We now have a gig economy where people are forced to work as contractors competing against each other in a race to the bottom economically. That means employers are off the hook for healthcare benefits, pensions, 401K's, and paid vacation time. Home ownership is out of reach for most young people. A bachelor's degree costs $250K. A car costs $50K. The investor class is buying up home inventory and becoming slumlords using private equity to handle the transactions. None of this is an accident or coincidence. Next up the Oligarch's start demanding sexual rights to wives and daughters. Remember, you asked for this. Apathy is the same as a YES.

Owning another human being to overwork, abuse, neglect feeding, and take away their rights as people, that would make me an asshole.

I preach small businesses with small work staff, speak up for workers’ rights, and stand by communities built on good hard work that deserves compensation.

I preach that corporate entities should pay taxes just like us, pay their workers good wages for getting them in the millions to billions of dollars which looks great for investors to pour more money into the industrial machine, and give workers the benefits also treatment they deserve.

By giving into the most heinous, selfish, immoral, dehumanizing act of owning a fellow human being, I’d be forfeiting my standards, my core beliefs, and my personal political views which I can’t do because I believe in them and stand by them no matter what.

Slavery is bad, Slavery is immoral, Slavery is dehumanizing and against everything America stands for because we got rid of it. The Civil War was the end of Slavery and we are done with it, those true American Veteran Heroes buried in the ground for their Constitutional Republic with Democratic Values would be appalled if they died for nothing.

If it were 1830, I might want a slave because if you were a business owner, slaves were the least costly workers. Food, clothing and housing were far cheaper than paying day laborers. Slaves made the affluent richer and improved the lives of those who weren't rich.

Thomas Jefferson was a case in point. His slaves saved him from bankruptcy because he was a terrible money manager. Slave labor built the White House. Kept plantations going.

I'm not sayihg that slavery was ethical. And those practicing it KNEW slaves were humans and people. But chose to ignore these facts because of the monetary value slavery provided and life of ease.

Humans do a lot of wrong things for money and advantage. If I were living in those times, I think I could've rationalized slavery too.

I would hide people as slaves if needed, but they would be paid and treated as any other hired hands would be. Respect and beers at the end of a shortened day.

If you create your own well-run community on a large plot of land that is safety, security and self sufficient.
It might come to that one day soon after todays unbelievable weakness from reds.

Add in taking restrictions off Russia allowing them to fund their attacks, and not shipping Ukraine what was promised as life saving defensive measures...

Absolutely not. No one owns anyone else. No one should be enslaved and have taken their dignity and freedom taken away. If I can’t do work in my home along with a husband and family, then I shouldn’t have a home or rather, a farm.

But even outside morality and the general grossness of trying to own another human. It's 2025. Robots. Literally robot labor is cheaper anyway. That's why so many factories are getting automated, even when cheap foreign labor is available.
