What do I say to my landlord agency if I want them to help find a replacement for my room so I can break the lease in 1-2 months?

Whats the best way to contact (phone or email?) my landlord company if I want to inform them I will be leaving my individual room rental lease in a month or two and want to ask them to step in and help find a replacement for me? What should I say?

I have had to leave a room lease with them before and basically they told me to find a replacement on my own. And I did via i’m the internet and giving room tours to strangers.

The thing is I would like to ask them to help me this time to expedite the process and make it easier on me. It isn’t always easy finding a replacement and they know what they’re looking for in a tenant the best anyway I am moving because I am getting married by the way So I don't know if that would matter

The landlord has a duty to find a new tenant as quickly as possible so you don't even need to ask. You will be responsible for all the time between when you leave and when he finds a new tenant.

I would at least use email. Then you would have proof that they were notified. Followed up with a phone call. Maybe they have a waiting list of potential renters. Good luck!

Thank you. They really should have a waiting list, so I’m surprised if they wouldn’t jump on the opportunity to show my room. I would even be willing to give the tour myself to anyone.

My boyfriend sent them letters in the mail on my behalf that we both signed, actually, and that was maybe a few weeks ago. He says he is going to call as well soon. He’s just really busy so I was wondering if I should send them an email because I know from pst experience with them that they love to ignore people and don’t really pick their phone up but when I email them they tend to respond.

That is why you need to provide yourself with a paper trail. You seem to be a very responsible person. Hopefully the landlord will work with you! Do you have a lot of time left on your rental agreement?

Unfortunately, they don’t have any pressure to fill your rental. Since you are on the hook for the duration of your contract. Life sucks sometimes!
