Anyway, budget deficits went up under your deity Barack Obama. The only reason they didn't while Clinton was President is because Republicans controlled Congress after 1994.

As for Trump, the deficits went up once the Democrats took over the House and COVID struck. So it was the COVID lockdowns and stimulus packages (with much waste and fraud associated with them) that caused the deficit to balloon. Whose fault is that? Those who wanted those policies.

Biden's budget deficit was 6.3% of GDP in fiscal 2023 (Oct. 1, 2022- Sept. 30, 2023). No COVID, and Democrats controlled both houses of Congress and the White House. And that was up from 5.7% of GDP in fiscal 2022, also the result of Democratic control of Congress and the White House since 2021.
