Pretty sure Patton was in a car accident that caused him to bounce into the ceiling of the car he was in, it broke his neck and left him quadriplegic, and he died from complications from the paralysis in the weeks after the injury.

Because that's what happens when you slam your head into a glass barrier and break your spine. What you said beforehand is irrelevant.

It's just that if you've openly opposed the removal of Nazis from positions of power in the German government and denied the basic humanity of their victims, people are a hell of a lot less sympathetic to your suffering, since you're clearly a murderous bigot.
