WHY do we suddenly need captions on EVERY FUCKING VIDEO on YT?

And each word HAS to be highlighted as it's being spoken AND the captions HAVE to be right in the middle of the fucking video!!
This MUST be for stupid people that can't understand what's being said!! They should allow us smart people the option to have it or not have it!!
And, half the time the captions are very wrong!! OBVIOUSLY, the person WRITING the captions doesn't know shit about English! I was just watching one where the guy talking VERY clearly said, "Let's rock & roll". The caption read, "Let's make them all.". The only part they got right was the first word and the last 2 letters!

Mine has a button to turn them off, but after a little while they just come back on.

YouTube does some annoying things. When I open YouTube, there is a big notice that my search history is off. There's no way to make it go away Another feature I hate is when a video finishes, and another one plays automatically. You can turn it off, but it just turns itself back on.

These are ON the video, you CAN'T turn them off.
Here's one I was watching last night. The sound and picture are horrible but I can still understand almost every word he says. Too bad the person that wrote the captions hasn't a clue!

for people who have difficulty hearing. "hearing impaired" the words should be at the bottom of the screen not center.

It's not on! These captions are IN the videos! CC only runs across the bottom of the screen, these are dead center and, quite often, highlight every single word as it's being spoken. I never saw this `til at least a month ago. Now, nearly every ad or video has them!!
