I have deferred my retirement and have not taken a vacation in four years. Not to mention the loss of almost a half a million dollars from my retirement account. It has partially recovered in 2023 but I am still way behind.
Definitely hit me in the pocket with the price of food.
I'm not sure if a policy was responsible for making food so expensive, but I know it happened under his watch.
What exactly made prices of food sky rocket all of a sudden after he took office.
Speaking of food, I hope next time he goes to the white house and eats there, that the chef cooks him up some fried eggs and serves them on his face, because he needs to wear egg on his face more often. Oh, and he needs to eat row, so serve him one of those too.

The price of eggs were up pretty high but now they are down again. I heard a bunch of chicken farms were vandalized where the heat was turned up, or down, so the chickens either froze or fried. They took a big hit with millions of dead birds.
I was saving to buy a house, but that has gone out the window with the hit my investments took and the huge jump in mortgage rates. I don't see that happening any time soon now.
My ability to save for that has also taken a huge hit since inflation has reduced my real income substantially. I'm lucky now if I can save anything at all and still feed and clothe myself and make my rent and car payments.
Like countless others, I lost a family member to fentanyl last year, and that fentanyl came accross our open southern border. Yes, I blame Biden for that.
I feel like we are living in a much more dangerous world now than we were three years ago. A weak POTUS means bad actors are free to do what they do, and we have certainly seen that play out on the world stage since Biden took office. America and the world are less safe as a result, and that had an impact on everyone's mental health at a bare minimum, and of course much worse consequences for many in other countries like Ukrain, Israel and Pelestine. I truly fear for what the world will look like after another four years of Biden "leadership".
Due to his and his appointees' bald faced lies about covid and the clot shots, people believed him. Many friends abandoned my wife and me because we didn't mask or get jabbed.
And I know people who have been injured or killed by the jabs, even though nobody will admit to any link to the eugenics jabs.
Because of the "emergency measures" he encouraged and imposed, many wonderful restaurants and stores were forced out of business. It severely reduced quality of life.
My cost of living increased and availability of products decreased a lot due to his "carbon emissions" policies.
Those are things that effected me directly. But there are many, many things that adversely effected our country.
I vaguely remember, but as we type I'm watching Jesse Waters. He just brought it up. Since they fired Tucker, Jesse is the only reason I watch FOX.
Jesse just played a montage of Clinton, Obama and a younger Joey, talking about how we need to control the border. Joey even used the line: "It's like a never-ending stream coming in..."
Jesse just pointed out that Ellis Island processed 12 million LEGAL immigrants in 60 years, and the clown has let in 8 million Illegal immigrants in 3 years.
And it's not just the Southern border anymore. Now they're coming across the Northern border and the beaches of California.

inflation. can't buy a house now. food is expensive. gas is expensive. car insurance. utility costs. etc... made me more depressed living in this economy. everyone says the economy is doing so great. how? maybe for the top 1%. but for normal people who would normally be able to afford a house and groceries if none of this happened, no. i think the economy doing great is a big lie. there's no way... everyone i know, everyone i talk to, even comments i read, no one is really having a good time.

The biggest effect has been uncertainty, in many areas:
Economic uncertainty... what is the price of gas going to be today? tomorrow?
Material uncertainty... when I go grocery shopping, will the shelves have what I want? Same as or different from last week?
Peace/War uncertainty... will American troops be sent into harm's way?
Political uncertainty... who in government is really in charge? Do they know what they are doing?
He risks the whole economy with his ridiculous spending and racking up debt to buy votes. The depression was bad and he is running us into another one. I believe it will happen in the next 15 years
He risks future rebellion in the country. Not like the protest on Jan 6th but a real shoot’em up rebellion. Biden brings death, poverty and crisis to the country by his actions and inactions.

Yes my property taxes have been doubled. I don’t know if it has anything to do with Biden. I doubt it but the food prices the gas prices everything else the cost of living houses rent
Eventually Biden's policies will trickle down to the local level. Wages and health insurance goes up. So does the price of fire trucks and emergency vehicles. These costs all must be passed on to the taxpayers in the form of property taxes. In my state the state give a portion of the taxes it raises to the cities and towns to supplement their budgets. This year the contributions were very low. Fortunately in my state we passe d Proposition 2 1/2 a long time ago, It limits property tax increases to 2 1.2 percent a year unless the citizens pass an over ride.
when you sell a house it gets re-assessed. sometimes the new assessment is a lot more. It will never be less. I think the only thing you can do is look at similar homes in your town and see what they pay for taxes. If you feel like you are getting unfairly treated you cn apply for an abatement.
u I did that with ReDux I haven’t heard a word from them in eight weeks. I had the house for coming up on eight years we we were both co-owners we were not selling the house at the time they had no business doubling the taxes when I’m on the deed as well being treated like a new owner
If you were on the deed it would be the same if your husband or wife died. You would still own the house and it and not been sold, so it should be the same.
u @Daniela1982 it didn’t work out that way some clerk said that I didn’t sign up for homestead exemption. Nobody ever told us this the relative signed up and we had no idea that two people had to sign up at the same time. I got screwed twice now. twice this has happened to me. It cost me my 1.2 million childhood home to. Back in 2011. they doubled our property taxes to $11,000 and we couldn’t afford it and we lost it to an auction sale.
Did you ever get an estate lawyer to see if anything could be done?
u No, but I hired a tax company full of attorneys online, called redux. They’re supposed to evaluate your property to see if they made any errors by overcharging. It’s been over two months now. I haven’t heard anything back from them but they had a court date before Thanksgiving but I didn’t have to be there.
If you ever had to go to the emergency room at a hospital they really sock it to you for costs. I imagine they have to raise prices to pay for all the illegals that free medical care there. Having a baby there can cost big money there if there are complications. Not for illegals. Everything is free. Do you know any other country where this does not happen?
I wouldn't deal with an online lawyer. I don't think I could trust one. I would want to see and talk to them face to face. You see what it got you. My uncle died and his son was also living in the house. He was left the house in the will. Having lived in the house for 50 years they had not had property taxes raised. So his son got to keep the taxes where they were due to Proposition 13, which kept their taxes at one rate until the house was sold. But it wasn't sold, just given to someone in their will.
u Well, in Dade County, Miami, Florida I got burned twice when my relatives passed away in 2011 with my childhood home and this house now for me personally not signing up for homestead exemption which my relative did and we had no idea that we both had to sign up together at the same time and we’re both on the deed and both are house owners to this Miami house so now because of this loop hole I’m struggling today because of it big time and I found out this news in late August and went down there to the courthouse In early September dealing with some clerk that kept staring at the ceiling when I was talking because I guess he couldn’t handle it about why my property taxes are being doubled. Then he said don’t blame Dade county blame Tallahassee Florida they make the rules. It’s all a scam and I’m so stressed out. I can barely sleep and I don’t wanna lose my home again then where am I gonna go to a dumpy hotel room that’s no life for me and Miami has gotten so expensive now. What can you get for 500,000 as far as a home goes nothing. I lost my 1.2 million home in Pinecrest Miami Florida and I don’t wanna lose this one and I don’t wanna get a $2500 a month apartment. I don’t like apartments and that’s not making any money back in return it’s just throwing money away. I guess different states are different rules different laws. I really wish I knew somebody that knew all the loopholes in the beginning this would never had happened.
How exactly did you lose your house just because the taxes doubled? I would have just sold it if I couldn't pay the taxes, or they would just take it and auction it off for unpaid taxes. I take it you didn't do that though, right?
u The first house me and my brother lived together and we both had a dispute with my sister over it. We wanted to stay there. She wanted to sell it, and she refused to pay the property taxes to help us and she petition the court for us to sell it
We offered her many buyout options. She refused. We didn’t want to throw in the towel and sell it. We wanted to keep it, but she remained hard-core all the way to the end, and we lost it at a tax auction. And only got $99,000 apiece because of it it was valued at 1.2 million
So basically you screwed yourself and your sister by refusing to sell it?

I screwed nobody who gives her the right to force us out when we live there and she never even helped with property taxes anyway and she refused all buy out options. why am I telling you my story when you’re obviously deliberately out to attack me
Was she a part owner of the house too? Apparently there was no love between your family. Who would do that to their family members?
Why would that matter if she had her own place, unless she wanted her share of the inheritance or something. What did you offer her as a buyout that she turned down?
No, I'm trying to figure out what is going on. You obviously made some mistakes. You put too much trust in the government and family (sister). We all make financial errors, like being taken by some loser contractor or a lawyer. So we can do something about it, if we can, or just move on with a new lack of trust if we can't. 20/20 hindsight doesn't do anything for us in the past. It is to learn for the future.

u Here’s the results that I got yesterday a check in the mail from the Dade County property taxes. The company that I hired in Miami is called redux and office of tax attorneys they mostly get people thousands of dollars off or hundreds of dollars off their overcharged property taxes and all I got off was $265.95. And I have to split the winnings with them a 50-50 split then purchase a money order and then pay for the court cost so I’m not making anything barely over $100 off
To me. The cost of fuel, electricity, automobiles, tires, home repairs and everything else. Also the decrease in my retirement account.

my favorite irony to laugh at is when one of his cabinet said "Don't like high gas prices, buy an electric car," then they cause electric prices to go up so much it is actually cheaper to use a smaller gas powered car than go electric.

@matchrestore However between 2016 and the first quarter of 2020 my account had more than doubled. It never got anywhere near that in 27 years. As soon as gas prices went up, the thing fell off a cliff.

I'm not sure if it's do to policy but things in particular food have definitely gotten far more expensive, not that I can afford to buy food but the prices jump almost constantly that feels like my eyes are being gaslighted.
