Speaking of myself, I'd say yes. And the reason is very simple. I lost what's the most important thing for a human being. Time. I didn't manage to be where I wanted to be in my 20s financially, so I am not afraid that one day I might get incarcerated with the way I live, or even die. Because I feel I don't have nothing to lose.

Since I turned 30, I am more likely to engage in other ways to make money, that I would hesitate to do in my 20s, because I believed there would be better times ahead. But not.

Any cursory review of crime statistics will show you that the vast majority of offenders are under the age of 30.

There's something called desperation. I had enough of being the "good guy" all of my life. Financially I'm not to the point I wanted to be. So... if I keep on playing the good guy, I'll live forever in mediocrity.

Most people are mediocre and there are some very fine women available who are mediocre in appearance. However, most girls don't fall for guys with prison records.

you would still get same jail years as if did crime young. you have FREEDOM to lose... nothing to lose? lose privacy! cell mate...

criminal cell mate! no privacy ever, inspection, no going out to restaurants nor shopping. even if no in jail hittings.

As a teen I was very violent and aggressive, but never engaged in illegal activity. In terms of physical violence I mean. I didn't talk about physical violence in my post.

Well, I've never thought about this, but I don't know if this is true. Violent crime rates decline as people get older and you have more to lose while also having more access to commit certain types of crimes or unethical behavior. But I think it's fundamentally a matter of character.
