Do you think parental neglect increases the risk of cheating when they become adults?

I read children who attend boarding school instead of living with their parents as kids are over 40% more likely to divorce, even if they are also more likely to become professionally successful then children that did not attend boarding school. I also learned by combining statistics together that a child raised without both parents in the home is more likely to have multiple break ups and divorces after many meaningful long term relationships.

I tend to believe that a person who dealt with a difficult homely situation is more likely to have to deal with that throughout his/her own life too, yes—especially if the parents end things on bad terms.
They're used to patterns they'll search for in others, however harmful.
