A warriors death, if I ever saw one, was Sidney Johnston. I don't give a damn what your beliefs about the Confederacy are, this man was a mother f*king brigadier general!!!

So many soldiers saw Generals as weak men who sent soldiers to die a meaningless death. But not Sidney Johnston, he urged his men forward by LEADING THE CHARGE HIMSELF!!!😲😲😲😲😲

He died after suffering a leg wound that he didn't notice until it was too late, he bled until he was head 😞😞 . If there is such a thing as a warriors death, he suffered it right there. What's a warriors death to you?🤔🤔

Miyamoto Musashi is a warriors death, and life fulfilled to boot. Though Khalid ibn al-Walid is probably a better comparison if you want military.

As for death in battle and honour - you won't get any close to Husayn ibn Ali

He not only fought fiercely and died in battle, but also cared for the wounded, even if they were enemies.

A warrior doesn't just trample over enemies, he cares for the weak and his people. Hence why they are regarded as hero's. Not just murdering psychopaths.

Command is very important. On one hand a general charging in like Alexander the great or Julius caesar can rally the men and win the battle but on the other if the general dies the army is leaderless and gets slaughtered.

Death and glory was usually just propaganda much like how when WW1 people in Britain cheered in the streets, when WW2 was declared nobody was cheering.
