Should Americans be drafted to relieve those on the front lines of the undeclared wars we are in?

No. The Draft should be exclusive to a time of war.

But Yemen has, by default, declared war against the US Navy. So simply eradicate their entire military infrastructure and call it retaliation proportional to the attack by a sovereign state. On a member of NATO...

Actually I think anyone who supported or voted for these wars should be the ones to support them physically. Anyone not in favor of war should automatically be considered a conscientious objector.

I am a citizen, not a subject. I don't care what the Constitution says, you can't just grab me up and force me to die for you. You do not own my life, you do not own my body. Fuck anyone who says otherwise, may they be damned to the darkest pits imaginable!

the president can though... via congress. doubt they ever do it, not if they can control and sacrafice enough people. won't do it... not popular... they will lie and use other techniques to control people and burn them up. it's what they do. the question is more about concern for your fellow American that is being used up for your/our wellbeing.

If they're so good at telling the rest of us what we should be doing, then send the people working in government to the front lines, and the celebrities, and the news media, and the professors and university administrators, and the teachers union members.

good idea. never happen. nor will a draft. they will just use people up and discard.
it's all about power and control. you won't hear the voices of those suffering, not until you run into them on the street or if you k now someone.

at many places... it is actually military contractors who die overseas rather than soldiers in war

There is no reason to restart the draft.

To relieve people? No. That's what they singed up for. They put in their time, probably four years, then they get relieved.

obviously not drafted because need to send the ones well trained. look at the mistake russia is sending ill trained... they get mowed down.

good point. requires a lot of training. recruitment is way down... it's a problem. we have same issue, burnout and stress.

that's easy. won't happen, no under this govt. They will defend those shipping lanes and protect ally Israel. In what scenario would they come home from that theatre or Taiwain area in the next year? none.
It only takes one drone to get through to do damage, as found out recently with the 3 soldiers killed in Iraq... and who knows how many injured.
