What Tucker Carlson Saw in Moscow

Tucker Carlson went to Moscow last week and had an absolute blast. He rode the subway and marveled at its clean cars, the fancy tilework in Kievskaya Station, and the lack of booze-drenched hobos. He went to a grocery store and was astonished by what ordinary people could apparently buy. He even managed to meet a local history buff and sit down for tea and conversation. Carlson, who had never previously visited Moscow, declared himself “radicalized” against America’s leaders by the experience. He didn’t want to live in Moscow, but he did want to know why we in America have to put up with street crime and crappy food when the supposedly bankrupt Russia provided such a nice life for its people, or at least those people not named Alexei Navalny.

Having actually watched the entire interview I found it enlightening, thou I still don't agree with Putin.

I can see how he manages to sell the position among his supporters based upon how we have isolated Russia.

If we had allowed Russia into NATO , or even worked with them on defense projects more. Putin would have been unable to sell the idea of NATO being such a direct threat to Russia as to invade Ukraine and Georgia on that basis.

They claim he wants to restore America, by tearing up the constitution. You see that gun nut that attended the super bowl parade (rigged, approximately and apparently) that ran for his life? Ha ha.

The guys in this country lining up to blow this guy is astonishing. They will do anything for a crack at orangy. They are now buying sneakers to support his impending backruptcy. They just don't stop.

What's more is they will still bitch and moan tomorrow about how he was cheated like the toaster they forgot to start and got pissed when their bread was still cold.

I did not see much of the interview but somehow i do not think that Mr Wood is telling the truth. I heard the interview was riveting and have been meaning to sit down and watch it.

Tucker Carlson is one of a few honest journalists out there. The left is scared to death of him. Fox News has not recovered since he was fired and he is doing a big business running his own show on the web.

lets get our facts straight. You voted for a group of democrat operatives that have been manipulating a senile old man, putting documents in front of him and telling him to sign them on command like he is one of Pavlov's Dogs and then giving him an ice cream cone and a pat on the head. And Trump is not a criminal and he did not send anybody to destroy the capitol. It was just the opposite.

Even Putin's goals are based upon his own self-interest and assessment of the interest of his country. Even assuming Putin is a oligarch he still has to push the interest of his support base.

Hearing his side of the story helps you figure out who that support base is and what they are concerned about. For a man who controls the worlds largest nuclear arsenal and one of the best Military on earth. There is no hope of controlling Putin except via addressing said concerns to undermine said case.

Russia isn't some weak 3rd world country you can simply topple and regime change, not that this strategy has worked very well either.

I can't speak to Tucker's shopping options, but he was speaking of some NOT all U. S. Citys. While making a point about the apparent ineffectiveness of sanctions. Clearly if we want to sway Russia, this isn't a effective way to do it.

Regarding how clean the street of Moscow is, acknowledging most of Russia is not so well manage, the point is no U. S. city should be soo poorly managed.

he's right, we have a problem in many city's which are a mess due to poor leadership and inviting in too many incompatible cultures to get along.

If you want to defund the police, you need fewer more agreeable laws and an armed generally more culturally homogeneous population.

If you want to maintain full shopping shelf you can't tell service providers how to do their job as if you knew.

Tucker successfully argued in court that "no reasonable person would believe he is reporting facts". LOL In other words, he's the court jester. Put it this way; Putin would not have granted the interview if he didn't think Carlson could be manipulated in the exact way Putin wanted to.
