It's a crap shoot. When I used to work at Cedar Point, 4 hours drive from here, all summer long, everybody said hello to everyone else and nearly everyone was quite friendly! After being there for three months, I got used to that and brought it back home with me and continued doing that to everyone I met, here but, suddenly, hardly ANYBODY was responding in kind!! I never noticed that before I left!! And, we're supposedly known as the friendliest city!! The city with a smile on its face!! REALLY? Couldn't prove it by me!! I've been in 5 towns in Ohio and spent LOADS of time in 4 of them and was always treated MUCH better there than I ever was here!! So, how can THIS be the friendliest city?

@FunkyMonkee Ages ago I spent a Summer at Cedar Point as an armed (Bonded) Police officer. I never fucked to much in my life!

Fuck, it's been 25 years plus. It was at the front of the park not far from the gates and on the right side when you enter.

@KrakenAttackin I don't think I've ever been there more than once but, if it;'s where I think you mean, it's right before the Midway starts. There was a place I used to always get French fries for lunch right inside the gate.
I never went in our out the main gates. I lived in a building right next to the Omnimax and there was a gate right there that I always used. From recent videos I've seen, the place changed a lot since I was last there in `78. The Ominmax was brand new and they JUST finished building the Gemini shortly before I got there on July 5th.

The police station was hidden from view, but yes, close to where you describe.

@KrakenAttackin Kinda like when I used to work at a 7-11 on a university campus. My boss told me on day 1 that the campus police are right across the street so, if there's ever any trouble, give them a call and they'll be there in seconds! I looked out the front door and I couldn't find any cops anywhere! Eventually, I thought she meant they were in the building across the street! Turns out, after I'd been there at least a year, I discovered that they were in the base of a pillar that was holding up a skywalk that went INTO that building across the street!!
Anyway, I don't know if I was in the dorms or the apartments at Cedar Point. I guess it was the dorms because one of them had several people per room whereas, where I was, we mostly only had 2 people per room. The other one was near the start of the causeway, at least half a mile from the gates. Quite often, after hours, I'd go into the park and roam around. I couldn't have done that if I was at the end of the causeway.
