Why don't Zelensky and his allies invade a portion of Russia to troll Putin and make the Russians know what it feels like?

Doesn't really help beyond forcing the Russian's to expend more troops defending more territory.
Generally when you start attacking the enemy attacking you, you make it easier for them to paint you as a threat worthy fighting to the only people who can end the war, the enemy population.

Whereas if you simply bleed their troops and make yourself unworthy of holding, the enemy population, can eventually recognize the effort to fight you as a waste of time and resources better left alone.

They have. Several times. They even occupied a few towns on the Russian border to make Russia pull back troops and properly defend the whole border and not just the active fighting.

I mean you are correct to a point. That said, Ukraine already launched several raids and even occupied Russian towns along the border and you probably did not even hear about it, much less seen any Russian nukes flying at Ukraine so its not entirely as simple as you think.

Robert E. Lee tried that in Pennsylvania. People always fight harder on their home turf. I'll wager many Russian soldiers would rather be back home with their families. Take the fight to them, they dig in and have something to fight for other than a paycheck and their orders

That already happened. There are two Russian militia groups fighting on Ukraine's side. There have been several incursions from them with attacking Russian troops and materiel.
