If you were Putin: why wait to invade?

If i were Putin, now, when we are busy in iran , is the chance to renew historical Russia to invade Poland, first- like 1939 November border, or better yet like 1913 border before world war 1 , when Russia ruled there. Then in June recaptured (in abc order) estonia latvia and Lithuania! But in tactical order first Poland. 2 Lithuania 3 Latvia. 4 Estonia. Russia is not weak!

Russia has thousands of battle tanks (even after ukraine truly destroyed thousands!) and has hundreds of warplanes included attack helicopters! So what is stopping Putin from invading? If you were Putin WHY WAIT?

I don't like seeing people in pain, suffering or dead...
When there's an invasion, probably there's going to be a resilience, which means deaths from both sides, plus why would i want to take something that isn't mine?

I really can't answer this, because i don't even know how putin thinks 🤷🏻‍♂️

Risking lives for a land is mediocre to me, because i care about people's lives but if he saw a threat on his country and his people than yes he will risk everything to defend his country and people...

I respect putin because he's a real strong leader unlike the clown zelinski who brought destruction and chaos to his countey because he never deserved to become a president!

Because of him many ukrainians have lost their lives 🤦🏻‍♂️

Strategically total war would be unavoidable


Ukraine is one thing, and it’s already not winning him any fans
But if it becomes clear that the man intends to expand his borders then we will be back to a WW2 Germany situation


And modern warfare is a lot more fluid.
Just because the US is busy fighting Iran doesn’t mean it can’t divert very quickly


After all it’s only been an air battle so far
No ground invasion yet
So it’s still easy to pull out

Historically Russia is a very dubious border.
It’s changed too often in the past

There is no real legitimate claim that can later be recognized by everyone

Geopolitics is fickle that way
You don’t just annex other countries without having to answer a thousand questions and deal with a million sanctions
