To clarify, I am not asking if you would do it for politicians in the of America. I don't give a damn about the politicians myself, they can figure it out on their own.

I am merely saying doing it to keep yourself, family, friends and home safe, otherwise you have nowhere to go.

It's difficult to say, without actually being in that situation.

A lot of people would like to think they'd turn into Rambo, and start mowing people down, but would end up being the first to run away. Others would openly admit to saying they'd run, and end up being the first to pick up arms, to defend something, or someone, important to them.

Nobody wants to be killed, but adrenaline and determination can do funny things to people. I would hesitantly say that, no, I wouldn't be at the front of the line to defend my country on behalf of politics.

However, if it meant standing between my family, my children, and an opposing army, I would give my life for them. Even if it meant my death, if it gave those I loved an opportunity to get to safety, then I would defend them as best as I could.

I agree people have an idea of how they would act but when in that situation they may not. I wasn't really getting at a political reason to defend, moreso like you have to do it to stay alive and protect what you value. Personally I would do so to protect my friends, family, girl and my cou try because I don't want it to be overtaken by some other one and be forced under their rule.

I took an oath when I was 18 to protect and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. That oath never stops until my heart stops.

Thanks. As for the update, I've never served in the military for any president. The concept behind the Constitution is motivation enough for me to serve. It's why I would never serve as Secret Service. If someone shoots our president, as tragic as it has been in the past, there's always someone to take over that office. By standing with my Constitution I am protecting my family and friends, and as importantly, my country.

Yeah, I would, but I wouldn't do anything to defend democrats. For instance, if they were attacking Sacramento, San Francisco, Los Angeles, or Washington D. C. I wouldn't interfere with that, but if they attacked near where I live then I would.
