Thoughts on UK ending government's LGBT hospitals programme due to the sponspor's withdrawal?

The UK government just cancelled a programme that was meant to promote inclusiveness in UK hospitals amoung doctors and nurses. The programme started in 2018, under the premiership of Theresa May. UK hospitals could get "The NHS Rainbow Badge" for promoting inclusive language, such as asking for preferred pronouns, and avoiding words such as "woman" or "mother".

The decision of ending the programme caused an uproar among supporters of the proramme, which accused the UK government of hurting LGBT community. Rishi Sunak's government answered, that programme's cancellation was caused by losing a funding from private organisations, such as Stonewall.

I'm more concerned with the quality of the service provided than I am with doctors and nurses having their feelings hurt. I know, I know, odd statement to make after they signed Indi Gregory's death warrant a few months ago. This at least has the appearance of a step in the right direction.

I guess if they lost their funding they’d have to shut it down. Though it doesn’t seem like a terribly expensive program. How much could rainbow badges cost?

Some groups of people always have to stir up trouble with their made up mental genders and want the whole fricken county to care about them.
Sorry, we have bigger fish to fry in America 🇺🇸 than to even listen or care about their community. What about normal people? What do we ever get? Nothing!
