Trump cannot be held off ballots SCOTUS rules in a unanimous decision. Thoughts?

Although I agree with the majority, in light of the fact that no such insurrection ever took place and Section 5 of the same amendment says: "The Congress shall have power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article."

In reality the 14th amendment, written by extremist, was only ever "ratified" under the gun in a one way ratchet precisely because its reckless language was soo extreme and dangerous to the republic.

Language opening the door to countless abuses like this as well as others like the arbitrary incorporation doctrine allowing the same court to impose whatever policy they like by simply declaring a un-enumerated 'right' exists which their policy supposedly protects. This is what happened with Roe vs Wade, and the same could as easily happen on any topic at all.

If America ever becomes a dictatorship the 14th amendment is all but guaranteed to be the excuse for the powers said dictator uses to secure their own hold on power and do whatever else they want.

I mean I told you guys it was constitutionally illegal when it first happened and that it was in the interest of the voters in the state of Colorado to hold their government accountable or that they would be disenfranchised come election time. Yes, that's correct. It was in fact the unanimous decision. I have no idea what their reasoning was. After reading an explanation of it several times elsewhere on the web, it seems to me that it was just a tortured and improbable rationale for their bad decision.
