Yes, in a certain sense.

But I also think it's misguided to join the army. You're going into the meat grinder. You're fighting stupid pointless hegemonous political wars. The country I live in is really not worth fighting for at this point. Housing is stupidly expensive, as is cost of living, migration is completely out of control, our freedoms are ever more being eroded and there is little in the way of freedom of speech. The body keeps the score as they say. Every experience we have is embedded into the subconscious in the form of trauma and PTSD etc.

Yes of course. Granted I will talk shit because not everyone in the military is in an infantry unit. There’s a lot of support units. I spent 10 years in. Four of those 10 years were as a grunt. Physically demanding, torture on your body after a while. So yes we’d talk shit about other Marines, soldiers, sailors, airmen, etc. But yes I respect the hell out of them regardless of what MOS they pick.
