I totally agree with @freyared since I live in Sweden. Unlike Norway, Sweden isn't as expensive but most people still live with creditcard to pay their extra social expenses.

On the contrary, there are still some benefits.
- Parental leave is something we take for granted, which is superbly good in comparison to the rest of the world (480 days per child, you get paid 80% of your salary and you can share between parents).
- You pay for doctor, physiotherapy, nurse etc visit up to a ceiling of approximately $200 per year, the rest is subsidised by the government. The same amount also goes for medicine. Most employers even reimburse the difference.
- Excellent public services, high-quality healthcare, and a strong social security system.
- Schools and Uni is free of charge (you pay though for stationary, books).
- Dentist is free of charge until the age of 19.
- You are entitled between 28-35 vacations days per year by employers and 4-weeks in a row over summer you are entitled to take vacation!
- Several thousand yearly for gym membership by employers.
- It is known for its progressive values, particularly in terms of gender equality and LGBTQ+ rights.
- Unlimited sick leave (but you need medical certificate from a doctor after 7 days).
- Parents are entitled to something called “Care of child” days (after 100 days, you need further documentation) where you take care of your sick child at home and get paid 80% of your salary.
- The old system of reporting your times, arriving, and leaving, has been abolished.
- Thanks to climate change - summer in Sweden goes at least until September.

Norway is worth visiting but living in Scandinavia is hard. People are distanced, weather is bad most of time, people earn good wages but everything is super expensive and their real wages aren't much worth. Some shit holes like Göteborg should be called little Somalia, who wants to life is such cesspits

No thanks. Nice place to visit, but the income taxes are far too high for my liking and a lot of prices in general are higher than I think they rate. Oslo was just rated the world's most expensive city to date in. Whether you're going on a date or not, you don't get a discount when you're out and about just because you're single.

Before Christmas I was in Norway, Sweden and Finland and I would happily move to either of those countries. But as @freyared says some cities have far to many non locals living there and it has had a huge negative impact on the area,

However in the U. S the cost of living is even higher. If you compare rent and healthcare, the U. S exceeds that of most other countries.
