Have you encountered spying in rentals and would you support laws to require disclosure?

This is about spying in hotels in the USA... including high end hotels... espeically about Miami spring break. Apparently some hotels spy on guests so they can log damages.

I'd wonder as well, if they are doing so in other countries, China... and to what extent. Can you imagine some of the things their security might be spying on, or risk exposing to the world?

How prevalent it is... no idea.

They should disclose by law

Not that I know of. I need an equipment piece to detect those bugs, so that when I find them, i can tape over them to block the view and then see what happens. I don't like my privacy being violated. Not by hotels, not by google or microsoft, not by a nosy parent.

If I'm in a hotel room I'm walking around naked, hopefully having sex with my fiancé, I don't want that recorded or spied on. I would avoid anywhere they were doing that. And what about families with kids? Are they recording the kids naked? Who's watching that? It's sick

Reasonable expectations of privacy apply. A date stamped picture of the room before and after occupation is plenty.
