If you had a security camera installed outside your home would you catch crime on it?

I just have one for the backyard because I border on a forest, so I like to see the animals that come through overnight. Coyotes are probably most common, followed by fisher cats, then deer, then foxes, and just recently I’m finally starting to see possums and raccoons, which I was surprised to go almost a year without seeing any. I think I caught my first skunk a month or two ago too. And during the day we get turkeys. So the most common animals are most scarce, and the more elusive animals I see almost every night. Kinda weird, haha.

Can’t imagine I’d see any crime, other than people speeding past my house. It’s a long, woodsy straightaway, and people like to tear ass down it late night. I often find beer cans that have been tossed out, so I guess drinking and driving would be the most common crime to catch on camera, though you wouldn’t realize it. I hear rifle shots at night sometimes, but I assume that’s my crazy ass neighbor shooting at something in the woods🙄😂 Same dude has one of those black lawn jockey statues that I thought we all agreed like 30 years ago weren’t cool🤦‍♂️ I wish that was a crime, I’m so embarrassed that that’s here

Nah. Not to say I couldn't, but I wouldn't care about that. I'd use it to accost delivery drivers who show up at the door, claim nobody is in and leave without trying to even ring the buzzer.
I really couldn't care less about crime around here whether it happens or not.

Probably would. And in the last place 100% would. Most places here you would. Though that don't make it unsafe that's a separate thing. The crime you would catch is stuff that don't effect you. So who cares?

I have several cameras around my house. I live in a pretty safe neighborhood but I have caught people trying to get in my vehicles. They had to go to the hospital before they went to jail
