I don't know, Mexico is pretty diverse. The people from the city are totally normal, the people from the super poor areas are a little annoying, especially the ones with no morals but I guess that's anywhere.
I think Mexicans just have a very macho culture and everyone has their own opinion of what that means so probably a lot of people's tension towards them starts there.
One thing I definitely respect about them is they tend to have a lot of heart.
