What activities do you associate with more intelligent people and what activities do you associate with less intelligent people?

Generally ones that require the most training and/or education are the ones I'd consider in the most intelligent category like athletes, musicians, skilled speakers, illustrators, astronauts, top pilots, architects, scientists, engineers, lawyers, doctors, executive chefs, elite soldiers, MMA fighters, writers, psychologists, mathematicians, historians, actors, directors, etc.

Then least would be the opposite that almost anyone can do like custodian, home cook who just follows recipes without devising their own, burger flipper, cashier, things of this nature that generally don't require much education or training.

Also think it's less about the specific activity and more the degree of skill and knowledge involved at the level the person is at. For example, I had an ex who was a beautician and normally I don't consider a beautician as a job that require the most elite skill and training.

Yet that ex graduated from the University of Bordeaux with a major in Cosmetology and she was extremely knowledgeable in the field and not a small-time beautician but one who even worked on celebrities. She actually taught me a whole lot about facial anatomy that I didn't learn through my Visual Arts degree.

That takes a whole lot of knowledge and training to become an MMA fighter so I put it in there. Also if we subscribe to Howard Gardner's notion of 9 types of intelligence:


I figure especially a reputable MMA fighter would need to possess quite a great deal of the bodily-kinesthetic type.

Just based off what i’ve seen, the less intelligent associated with social media and sporty stuff while the more intelligent were into the arts, music, and sciences
