Why should other countries have to help other countries who are going through wars?

Do you honestly think any of these countries would help the US or UK if they where in the middle of a war? Why should it be the job of another country to help someone else's country? The US and UK and other rich countries should focus on helping their own people and not care about any else from any other country. It's the other countries leader to do that job.

Well, I could make a whole bunch of moral and ethical arguments here but something tells me you dont care about those things so let me appeal towards your greed and selfishness instead.

The current world is structured in such a way that it benefits USA and "the west". Maintaining this order around the world is as such in the best interest of these countries who are reaping the rewards, especially USA as the world super power.

The more the world changes, such as countries wage war, the more the world will diverge away from benefiting you and your country.

In fact, let me give you some peace of mind. Countries do not have morals or "feelings", and this often comes as a surprise for normal people. When for example the UK left the EU through Brexit many people thought that friendly countries around the world would reach out with mutually beneficial support to UK like trade deals and whatnot.

This did not happen. Countries are not "nice" to each other, they strictly work on national interests and will stab anyone in the back if/when it becomes convenient. In comes New Zealand and absolutely screws the UK over along with many other "friendly" countries because the UK found itself in a situation where it could not stand up for itself.

And yet, all these countries that only ever think for themselves are somehow very interested in helping countries like Ukraine? Well that sound strange.. its almost like there is a secret benefit for them doing so.. like they are not doing this from the kindness of their hearts.

Trust me on this, the countries who gives stuff to Ukraine are doing it entirely through selfish reasons with the intent of becoming richer and powerful themselves. If you can't understand why, then perhaps its best to leave making these decisions to the actual experts.

The only country to trigger a NATO article 5 request for allied military help was the United States. So, yes, that's what internationally responsible countries do, they honor their treaties. And regarding the current war, the Ukraine has a clear support treaty with - among others - the United States.
