Why do countries even have wars with each other?

Like they are 2 egoistic people and fight. Governments and countries are not even a human. Why do they fight? Why can't they just be calm?

No greed, land, money, power territory.

You could argue that the crusades were about religion but that would only be the device they used to gain support. The crusades were led by greedy noble men most of whom weren't first sons and would inherit nothing from their father's. They were able to go and seize wealthy lands in the middle east and set up kingdoms, principalities and dutchies to rule and profited greatly from the silk road east-west trade routes.

Take the 2003 war in Iraq. US arms manufacturers made a killing. Arms merchants made a killing. Security contractors made a killing. Construction firms made a killing oil companies made a killing. Dick Chaney as vice president was awarded a back dated bonus after giving all the reconstruction contracts to the company he used to work for which was paid for by us companies helping the Iraqis sell their oil to China. It's like paying a builder to rebuild your house after he drive his truck into it.
