Do you go out if you are broke/penniless?

I mean so broke, that you can't even buy a wrap or a hot dog or bottled water.

That was me when I was that broke, I almost never went outside. Like what's the point besides being outside and touching the grass? In a few hours I'm getting thirsty and hungry again. It's cheaper to buy half a kilo of rice and cook it at home.

Nowadays I am not that broke but it's still outside my income to expend 12 EUR for a wrap and bottled water on a daily basis. My trading positions are taking their sweet time to yield profits.

Yes although I've never been that broke. when I was in college and coming out, I had nothing saved. so I ate at home, bought cheap car from my parents, paid cash and lived cheaply. I did ok because I had support to get started. But still, I enjoy walking around the block and the park, for free, as much as anything else. I enjoyed mowing the lawn... a good way to make $. an upgrade was a bicycle which I bought used from my brother, that's also "cheap"... joined bike club and met people.

Wraps and pre made anything are expensive. For longest time I wouldn't eat out, only on occasion for like chinese... stuff I can't make. I'm good with beans and rice or peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Making own rice makes sense.

But there is also entertaining... I'd go over others houses and times Id have people over mine to share. There's also not spending... fasting... don't eat and do exercise instead... saves $5! Ludicrous products like shampoos and stuff, I'd buy cheapest or in bulk. Can save a lot. I'd clip coupons.

The path forward in this world... is networking. You cannot do everything yourself and someone else holds the key to your next opportunity either by way of information, or ideas, etc.. Doors open all the time, you just choose the doors you want to traverse.

There are only two reasons to leave the flat (apartment/domicile). To spend money or to make money.

Have never put myself in a place with $0.
I sold scrap metals and cardboards to buy pickles. So being outside was a way to make money or find food in the mountains when I was a child.
As a teen, being in the US…I babysat, I worked in the supermarket, I made minimum wages and bought food for my family and cooked for them.
Those were the below proverty level family situations… I never blame the govt or my parents. I just did what needed to, to get to a better place.

With this positive outlook, just look forward and do better…it works for me and my “broke” siblings…

we are no longer broke because we always look forward for better.

No way, I rather stay at home, watching tv, playing video games, reading, etc.
