Well, one thing I would say about parenting…. I think you’re doing it wrong if you’re trying to mold a child into who YOU want them to be. I see a parent’s job as helping their child be the person THEY want to be, whether you like it as a parent or not.

I think if we approached parenting with a better mentality, then people aren’t living their lives and responding to their own personal biases. If you’re a parent and you would love your kid any less because they were LGBTQ, that’s YOU being a bad parent, not the kid or society being fucked up.

Love your kid exactly the same amount and same way however they are, I can’t believe that even needs to be a conversation. I would strongly recommend against having a kid and doing the child the disservice of growing up with a parent like that, if that’s the parent’s attitude. And not for nothing, trans people are like a fraction of 1% of the population, so all the outrage feels more like an attack on the idea of something more than we’re even realistically dealing with it.

The Democrats control all agencies and departments of the government regardless of election outcomes, and there are enough collaborative or otherwise compromised Republicans to effectively stymie any serious attempts to break the corruption. This is why Trump was an executive order president despite the Republicans controlling the house and Senate for the first half of his term, and why anything championed as "bipartisan" should give you shivers.
