I don't think about it much because I surround myself with good people and everyone is entitled their opinions. To be fair in 44 years I've never met anyone as extreme as you describe. Lay off fox news for a while and you'll feel better
I'm sure feminism effekts abit more that the loving circle you got around you. The extreme that i described isn't directed to one single person 😅 but if you do wanna talk about close circles I'll tell you that in the younger generations, meanign the one's who've lived less that 44 years. We're struggling to even identify what a woman is? I'd say thats extreme😅 its believed that choosing to be a mom instead of working is "betrayal" to all feminist have worked hard for. These are things i hear in daily day conversations among young people not toxic news.
I'd say extreme cases are just that extreme and rare. I think the only difference is that younger people now are more comfortable sharing who they are with the world. Not that it's easy still do so but easier than 20 years ago and way easier than 50 years ago.
I should explain myself better because after reading my reply I wasn't clear. I surround myself with all different types of good people and we're all not straight white middle aged dudes lol. That said, we all have different struggles, and we're all good people. Some are much younger and some much older. I'm in a rare group of people in multi generations and because we've all made friends with each other, we all understand each other a lot better.
In my circle boomer jokes make the boomers laugh... the boomers get to say all you kids today, and the young ones laugh, and me the end of gen x gets to intentionally and comically be dismissed (as a joke) from conversation as I'm end of gen x. Gen x is jokingly forgotten in conversation sometimes because we're a smaller gen aka the latch key gen. All these conversations we have are in fun but we are all heard. I am friends with a few fully transitioned people that are younger and the conversation we've all had leads us to believe this isn't new. The transitioning is because we can do these things now but the folks that feel how they do were just hiding back in the day because the world wasn't as accepting as now. Even today it's very intolerant at times and not all people have empathy for others that are different. Also, we still can't mind our own business and worry too much about things like the personal lives of others. I'm not blind in this world but I do notice it's a small percentage of the population you describe that is blown up on right wing news like it's widespread. Sorry to assume that is how you got to feel that way. I shouldn't have said that. That said, we all have to make our own path so why not be a good person and friend to others even when the choices they make concern you?

Communism has never been about equal rights. It's all about giving unlimited and immoral privileged to the party officials, and stripping all rights from the common people. For example in China the Communist Party and army procured young illiterate village girls for Mao Zedong to rape and molest every day. They would just go take people's daughters and deliver them to their "dear leader"... The young girls had no rights. They had to do as they were told. You can see the same sort of immorality today, where tranny men that are often pedophiles and communists want to go into girls bathrooms with little children, do drag strip shows in front of children, and read books about homosexualty and masturbation to little kids. It's the same old shit. The satanic communists want unrestricted power, and they want to strip everyone else's rights.
There's nothing in modern Feminism that wasn't there at Seneca Falls, there's just a hell of a lot less by way of legitimate grievances. That doesn't, in and of itself, bother me- any movement is going to have its share of crazies- but now that basically every real complaint has been resolved, the "poor victim" mentality is growing not just old, but harmful. Not only because it's ensuring girls (and then women) see themselves as powerless and unable to affect the world or their lives (doubly irksome since it comes from a movement that claims to be about "empowerment", yet seeks to keep them weak and dependent), but because it actively raises hostility towards male victims.
On the surface, this may seem excusable- it's not like anti-cancer charities focus on feeding the hungry, say- but it's not just ignoring them, but actively undermining them. A "campus rape crisis" is Gulf-of-Tonkined into existence by Feminist leaders, even though college women are the LEAST likely of their age group to be raped, and the sitting vice President enacts a policy that directly undermines the eighth Amendment, specifically prohibiting legal counsel and the presenting of exculpatory evidence at disciplinary hearings, since someone who's taken into custody is obviously guilty.
Then, more anti-male hysteria is stirred up, because the number of students kicked out of schools (not arrested, because criminal cases have actual standards of evidence, but thrown out), and it's always brought up how 98% of rapes are committed by men- and never mentioned how that's only the case because rape laws are written specifically to exclude female perpetrators. Fun fact: the US juvenile penal system has more sexual assault complaints made against it every single year than the worldwide Catholic Church has in its entire 2,000-year history. ONE subgroup (juvenile) of ONE group (prisoners) of ONE country (the US), EACH year versus the entire past. Why does that get ignored while the Church is (rightly) vilified? Because the perpetrators are almost invariably women: guards and officials in positions of power. And it's not consensual, either (to the extent one CAN consent to a person who's literally holding you prisoners); these are COMPLAINTS.
That's just one example. So what happens when more reasonable and actually SANE Feminist leaders speak out against the abuses of the movement? Look at Erin Pizzey, a hero if ever there was one, who dared to suggest that battered MEN should have help and options, too- driven out of her organization, the movement, and even her country when the murder attempts started (she eventually came back, because she's a badass that way). Look at Warren Farrell, former head of the National Organization for Women- hunt down footage of the protest of his appearance at the University of Toronto; the living wall of protesters objecting to his being given a platform to speak, and screaming to drown out anything he might say. Then look at the actual speech he made, and realize it's like protesting Mister Rogers.
I don't hate women. I actually want them to be free to make their own decisions, whether that's being a housewife or being a CEO or anything in between. But I don't want to see men disadvantaged for it. I hold biological determinism and biological denialism in equal contempt. Let the door be open to all, but shove no one through it. Feminism, primarily but not exclusively in its current form, does the exact opposite- it reviles Cinderella's passivity, but also Antigone's responsibility and honor. It casually tosses out slogans like "the future is female", which is a literal call for genocide.
It's a hate movement, pure and simple.
I really value talented individuals whether men or women. But not every man in history was some blue-collar type who wanted a slave of a housewife. My father married an architect and they worked together. Same with my wife's family. And same with our marriage.
And I'm not sure about how every single intersectional feminist uses the word, "privilege". Definitely there is a white-normaity in cultures that are predominantly white, just as there is an Asian or more specifically Japanese-normativity here in Japan. That doesn't make it oppressive. Get used to it. Conquer it.
And often there is a minority/foreigner privilege which people don't want to talk about because they want to be childish and talk about "privilege" in a group-oriented way like this group earns 7% more than we do therefore they hold all the power.
I taught my little sister how to skateboard on vert ramps starting with how to drop in, do frontside airs, backside airs, awesome, in the 90s when there were so few women in the sport. She just did the tricks I taught her, no new ones, but she became a pro while I was just sponsored. No regret at all. Let's welcome women in the sport. But isn't female privilege? There is a minority privilege to entering a field dominated by other people. People are actually eager to welcome them more often than not. Definitely there are naysayers but the privileges outweigh the benefits.
But ultimately I think a lot of these feminists are very weak and selfish people. They can't realize that other people in the "oppressor" group have it harder than them. They lack empathy because they're so obsessed with the idea that they're victims of society. When you are thoroughly convinced that you're the ultimate victim, you become the ultimate victim narcissist. And I think that's what a lot of these modern feminists are.
I really think ultimately a lot of intersectional feminists are desperately in need of this quote:

And here in the UK one feminist got a Autistic guy prosecuted just for staring her, stating it caused 'harassment, alarm and distress.
Feminists also think that men should always forgive women for doing wrong when it comes to relationships, even when the women plan the wrong thinking they can get away with it.
I don't understand feminism, I think it's a bad ideology. I believe that every ideology has an enemy and was created to divide people. I have the impression that women and men are often very hostile towards each other and find it increasingly difficult to find understanding, among others due to feminism. feminists are very sexist towards men. I believe that this movement in its modern version is an extreme that has a negative impact on people's well-being. it's not about equality, it's about power. men should do the same if they want to be equal at this point, but women are the most privileged in the world and pretending to be a victim is a really strange tactic, unfortunately politicians support it because I thought that a divided and corrupt society is easier to manipulate, unfortunately at the same time society is losing its strength and numbers. on which the power of nations is based. The only legitimate argument modern feminism could have (in the USA anyway) is being the loudest opponent to transgenderism, but the vast majority of those lunatics either support it, or don't want to touch it with a 100ft pole. It becomes very obvious, very quickly when talking with those figures that this movement is about fleecing money and power, and gaining special treatment rather than equality or fairness. true feminism is not in women trying to mimic men's natural strengths and roles but in celebrating women's natural strengths and roles. that people are debating if guys can breastfeed is just the flip side of the same bent coin. we might as well ask if we can rightly all just walk on our hands and bump feet to greet each other as the new normal. maybe we can all start eating with our anuses and defecating out of our mouths while we're at it.

Hard to celebrate woman's natrual strength and roles when we aren't can't even agree with what a woman is😅 and speaking of woman roles. Let's just call it for what it is. Sexism! Modern feminism = Sexism. Like, you have an entire movement dedicated to ONE thing and that is to keep the male population slaving in the high risk, hard and lifeshortening jobs while everyone else in their entitlement demands a bigger piece of the produced wealth (produced by males) with no other basis for it than their identity.
I have no problem if nurses think they deserve higher pay even if it happens to be a female-dominated occupation. They contribute a valueable service to society and like everyone that contributes they have every right to band togeather and change the terms for their employment. My problem with feminsim is that it's genderbased, not based on merit. Modern feminists wants a bigger piece of what everyone is contributing to without actually contributing themselves.

I think it was taken too far, the push for equal rights was good but now it seems like modern feminism wants to be above men. I also think modern feminism has ruined a lot of dating because now you have to risk when talking to a girl she will get made you dared think was cute and wanting to ask her out. I'm still traditional man and open doors for women, and I'm nervous of the day someone starts screaming at me for being polite and a gentleman that my mother raised me to be. My mom pushed for me and my brother to be gentlemen more than my dad and she is no weak woman.

People argue 4th wave dosen't exist but for people who do include gender and gender identity.

Modern feminism is the enemy of both men and women. They do not want your best and its a cult.
I'm against feminism completely but I love women very much I would do everything to protect them and give them the chance to be their best self just as everyone else should strive to be their best in all that they want. Nothing is worse then a person who cannot enhance their knowledge or do the same as others freely of their choice.
But feminism should be abolished and instead there should be a movement which is neutral for both sides as every time a movement gets created which is predominantely used by one gender it will be used as a weapon for revenge.
Needs to be abolished so we can make a push for real equality again. I do however think it's important to keep defending safe spaces for women and their rights, but it's better to do this in a more neutral movement that isn't trying to dominate men.
I'll also comment on another fact that modern feminism overlooks. It's all about "Empowering women in the workforce!" but does that really empower women? Is it really what they want? Obviously you want to be capable of providing for yourself when you need to so I absolutely support women having ability to participate in the labor market. But the way they are trying to structure society is wrong. It should not be "Empowering" or "Normal" to have 2 people in the family work a job. The man should be able to be the sole provider of the house while she takes care of the family, thats real empowerment. Thats the men doing the hard work so that she can life a worry free life. We happily do it for you you know? But feminism overlooks the fact that men providing you with their labor is empowering to women and is instead trying to abolish that.
And sure, if you'd rather be the provider while he stays at home for the children, or if you both want to focus on a career this lifetime and leave the children out thats all fine by me. But lets not pretend that women being forced to do full time jobs is empowerment, they are worse off now.
Feminism is going to be listed as one of the stupidest movements in history a hundred years from now. Women wanted to be able to work and they got it. Now they hate working. Funny thing is men told them that working sucks. They didn't listen. Stupid games stupid prizes
Feminism has made women extremely unhappy (Working multiple jobs and still can’t make rent) if not frustrated (Trans women dominating women’s sports). It has continuously demonized men for being men and has absolutely destroyed meaningful relationships between men and women because it causes both men and women to be skeptical of each other. Feminism did what it was meant to do in its first wave and the waves thereafter have only made things worse for everyone. But that’s just my opinion on it.

Here in my countries 9-10months babies start in daycare and stay are there for about 6-7 hours. Most people are feminists, I'm Feminist I agree with women's right to vote, work they should get same pay etc.
If I ask you the same you would agree right? If I asked most people they would agree. Yet how many of those people are these extremists not much right? Maybe 10% max but probably 5% accurate.
So when you say Feminist today are trying to achieve your talking about that low % and applying to all the rational feminists out there.
A good example is thinking everyone from a religion is a terrorist because yeah maybe 5% are. Then saying to people oh but this religion these days is trying to achieve all this bad stuff when in reality only 5% are.

I don't distinguish between "modern feminism" and the feminist equality movement that began with the fight for women's right to vote. Much has been accomplished but I see there is still far to go.

Statistics also show that men are better at negotiating their raise than woman which results in higher pay for them.. they take more risks and I'd argue work harder.

I have seen women say that the draft shouldn't happen to anyone.
Statistically speaking women make better leaders and yet you don't see most leadership positions occupied by them. Bias has a lot to do with how jobs and pays are handout.
