Any (mostly reasonable) progress that conservatives like to go off about like gay M&Ms, woke beer commercials, gas stoves, migrant crime, welfare assistance instead of unions, health care, UBI, alternative energy, mat/paternity paid leave, universal day care, free higher education, mass transit, safety regulations, corporate subsidies but love them some misogyny, racism, patriarchal Jesus shit.

It just has been hijacked and redefined to mean something far from what it’s original definition was, so it’s not something I’d use in my own lexicon, and it’s kind of telltale when someone else uses it these days, and usually I’ll assume this person using it in the bastardized context probably has a lot of misguidance and misconceptions about a lot of things going on socially.

Being woke includes:

1) Racism towards white people,
2) Believing that one can change sex,
3) Radical men-hating feminism,
4) Culture of death - abortion and euthanasia,
5) Atheism
6) Totalitarian ruled society, in which you must obey or be canceled; strong propaganda,
7) Rejection of objective truth, historical truth, logic, etc...,
8 ) Glorification of disabilities, victimisation, fatness, mediocrity and so on instead of positive values, hard work and virtues, rejection of beauty and aesthetics,
9) Deep socialism,
10) Forced unification (everything needs to include mixed races, mixed cultures) and destruction of real diversity in the world,
11) Rejection of any moral authorities (including teachers and parents for children).
12) Promotion of egoism
13) Sexualization of children; inclusion of sex in entertainment, and many others aspects of life.
15) Inclusion of artificial problems like "cultural appropriation","racism towards orcs" in RPG fantasy games and so on,
16) Social "justice". Injustice based on premise that some people can be discriminated freely based on the grounds of their richness, skills, power, etc... If you are white men you can be discriminated because you are considered an enemy of the system. 17) Exaggerated ecology and promotion of its bad conclusions: ordering the extermination of cattle, prohibiting meat, dairy and egg industries, shutting down production, forcing (not promoting) people to use things like electric cars, neglecting the pollution from China and other non Eoropean/USA parts of the world.

When diversity is prioritised over fairness or logic.

So for example, the Snow White film in production. Why is the character that's named after her white skin tan? Why isn't she interested in men despite being in a straight romance? Why aren't the dwarves dwarves? The answer to all of them is "diversity".

You can see the same phenomenon happening with transgender athletes, race-blind casting, gender neutral bathrooms, obese models, etc etc. What's logical about an obese person saying they are healthy? Nothing! Just like how illogical it is for biological men to play women's sports. Wokeness is when a company prefers to 'look good' than produce sensible or fair outcomes

It's a deranged cultish adherence to leftist ideas such as Marxism, postmodernism, critical race theory (anti-white racism), anticolonialism, queer theory, transgenderism, radical feminism (misandry), hatred of Western Civilization and values, and valorization of any group perceived to be "marginalized" even if they are pedophiles or terrorists. Like a lot of coined words, it's definition depends on your class and upbringing.

It's original use was by the first freed Black slaves, in their Green book. They would note places that welcomed Blacks around the USA, so you had to be woke and see if people were being nice to you, or just tolerating your money.

Since then, it's morphed into a catchall term by Whites for anything they feel encroaching their values.

Woke is defined as a cult-like adherence to an every changing and amorphous leftist social orthodoxy. Which is why so many people can identify it, but have trouble explaining it.

In simpler terms, instead of a moral foundation- like many religions, everything is viewed through a post modern/Marxist lens of Oppressed vs. Oppressor.
