Why do so many people accept Islam and why do the western media spreads false news about muslims?

That's two questions, not one. Which one do you want me to answer?

1. "Why do people accept Islam?" - The reasons will be as numerous as those who have taken it upon themselves to convert.

2. "Why do the western media spread false news about Muslims?" - I don't know. Do they though? I guess they do, but then again the media are not exactly known for being honest with us on a whole range of issues, not just Islam. Telling lies is what they do best, because they're not sources of accurate, impartial information, but propagandists for the state, the military and industry.

Unfortunately Islam being seen a positive thing is not something we see in Western countries.

Those governments who will dare release the statistics show that the immigrants from supposedly God fearing Islamic countries proportionally perpetrate most of the violent crime:

I've been the victim of Islamic violence on numerous occasions. Unsurprisingly, it's not a religion I associate with any form of Godliness.

In Rochdale they are associated with child sex grooming. Kind of what happens if you suppress your sexuality and have stone age views on women and sex.

Most Westerners, well, the ones who aren't completely brainwashed by the media, would prefer the moral dubiety of freedom, rather than the compulsion or threats of violence from a medieval religion.

Cancer also spreads quickly but it doesn't make it a good thing.

The hardcore Islamists in Afghanistan are drinking Russian vodka, as do many other Muslims in Islamic countries. Their "coping trick" is to hold the glass under the table when they hear the call of the Muezzin. Yes I know, all in all, alcohol consumption in Muslim countries is lower than in secular countries. But it still happens.

@DryGermanGuy The invariable problem with who those claim to be especially moral is it lends oneself to being exposed as wholly hypocritical. Anyone who thinks they are good, are most definitely not.

In any case, if I want to drink, I will drink. If I want to fuck, I will fuck. It's no one elses business.
And if I'm told not to do it, it will make me do it even more.

Not that I do those things, in particular. Because, you know, I have my own morality. I can be good without fear of being brutalised by a god, or by supposedly 'righteous' people.

@Levin your morality is influenced by your desire and critical thinking. Islam already gives us moral rules to follow. According to Islamic faith, person with pride and that claim to be righteous as they show of their goods in way to seen good person will not enter the heaven. It's your choice to follow your desires. Don't skip my response. My response is that Islam is the solution for harmonious state. Don't mention what few muslims are doing and claim it to be the teachings of Islam which is not. Live your life the way you want. That why Allah given you the choice to choose how you spend your short lived life.

Yeah, it's the fanatical absolutism that throws me off with such religions. Everybody knows that life without alcohol is healthier, but a reasonable lifestyle with alcohol here and there is not worse, morality-wise or other.

Islam is not perfect, nothing man-made like religion can ever be. Or can you explain why people in the Islamic and more Islamic countries live miserable and more miserable lives? Especially the women? Ask the women in Afghanistan how they feel about the Taliban 2.0.

Human BEINGS aren't perfect and we have our shortcomings. Stop using Afghanistan and poor islamic countries as excuse to claim that Islam is man made religion. Education yourself about Islam before claiming such things. Don't come after my religion. I ain't doing the same to Christianity. If you don't have faith that's cool whatever makes you feel better. Why wouldn't they accept it? It's the second largest religion on the planet, and on pace to become the largest in a few centuries. It's lasted almost fourteen centuries. I'd say it's proved itself. What more do you want?

As to why they spread false news about it, well, the same reason they do about anything else: to manipulate people.

I went as Osama Bin Laden a few years. back for Halloween. Let me tell you, I think it's for the wardrobe. Those really long t-shirt looking things they wear are VERY comfortable. I got to be honest. I think I could convert for the attire alone. But I do love bacon, so that might make it a wash.

I increasingly find no religions acceptable. If they want to keep to themselves, fine, but without exception there are no religions who seem to actually want to do that.
