Of the three listed Trump is most responsible for negotiating higher gas prices during the covid shutdowns, but really none of these are to blame. Inflation is a normal part of a healthy economy. The absence of inflation is called recession and can quickly snowball into a depression.
The question is whether inflation is outpaced by wage growth, which it has been for the last 2 years.
Those actually responsible: the state governors who shut their economies down for prolonged periods for no good reason. The damage done by excess money printing would've been relatively small were it not for the lack of production of wealth.
This means I also blame the people who voted to keep them in office (a grand total of ONE has been voted out of office since then).
Congress spending goodles of money for long long time...
The fed supports that.
Trump spent crap loads... did try to cut some costs... failed in many ways to manage government bloat.
Biden blowing the crap out of the finances... igniting it with oil policy.
It’s a macroeconomic problem. A lot of the world is worse. Although Trumps ridiculous tariffs didn’t help, and it’s embarrassing Biden hasn’t removed many. Although Niden has doubled-down on buy-Americanbfar more than Trump ever did.
Corporations' price gouging. They boast about it in their record profit reports.
" Corporate profits have exploded since 2020, and a recent study by our partners at the Groundwork Collaborative found that for much of 2023, corporate profits drove 53% of inflation. Comparatively, over the 40 years before the pandemic, profits drove just 11% of price growth. In the final three months of 2023, corporate profits reached an all-time high of $2.8 trillion, according to Commerce Department data. "

The Fed, Trump, & Biden.
The Fed and Trump lit the inflation fuse, and Biden blew on it and it exploded.
The corporatocracy that controls politicians
The wife. I just don't know how she did. :-)
