Is organized retail crime a problem where you live?

It hasn't been an issue where I'm at so I wanna get a feel for it. Is it happening where you live and are you worried it will damage the economy?

It's a made up buzzword to justify prices well over inflation. It's common knowledge 2% shirk is always a thing. So add 20% and say organized retail crime on top of inflation no one has room to question everything. Most important question being retail places are richest money makers.

Everyplace closing was scheduled a decade ago to close to build a new one down the block. Shake fist at clouds and prey for a new store and here we are opening that takes years to plan. It's always been garbage.

It's not organized, but it's endemic where I live. People are stealing from grocery stores like it's a sport. I've never seen anything like it.

Organized as in groups or gangs? I have never heard of that here. I noticed a couple of years ago, that some often stolen items (e. g. razor blades) were behind glass. But that's currently not the case, so...

Not so much in my town, but in some of the larger cities it is. Though in my town there's an N worder who goes into Marshall's once a week and walks out with a bunch of stuff, and the staff said they were basically instructed to let him getaway with it. My mom was in the store when he was N wording

It's a overblown thing that faux news loves to put on loop. In NYC it's hardly a thing! You're on camera on avg 375 times a day. Good luck not getting caught!

As someone not living in the US, I really grow up watching their toxic environment we wouldn’t have the Kardashians and GTA games If it wasn’t for America.

Everything toxic and undignified came from there.
