What do you think of KING CHARLES III official portrait?

The official portrait of King Charles III has been revealed.

The portrait, by British artist Jonathan Yeo, depicts the monarch wearing the uniform of the Welsh Guards, sword in hand, against a fiery red background that appears to almost swallow him whole, as a butterfly looks like it’s about to land on his shoulder.

The portrait was started when he was the Prince of Wales, which is why he's wearing the Welsh Guard uniform. Is that appropriate for the King of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland?

It's interesting artwork, but I have problems telling where the uniform stops and the background begins. I also wonder what people 200 years from now will think. I f it were me, I would much prefer a traditional portrait, in real world colors.

I find this trait in a lot of celebrity photos is they purposely try to make themselves look older, cause it gives you the impression the person is experienced in wisdom and it mitigates jealousy by people who view them as free loading billionaires who rely on good genes and happy looks rather than skill and talent.

It's a bit creepy, it reminds me of one of those "cursed" paintings where your house burns down. I'm sure if you look long enough you'll see faces of tormented souls in the flames behind him.

As for the welsh thing, he was a common site in Llandovery when he had his estate at Llwynywermod so I suppose its OK

I think it's foreshadowing cuz to me it looks like he's in hell but just looking at it from critic of art I'm going to say the app where I was painting by numbers had better pieces of art than this garbage this is literally rubbish from an artistic standpoint in my opinion

Everything except for the face and I suppose the hands looks like sh*t. Knowing Charles, this was probably chosen over awareness of some dumbass political cause. A traditional portrait would've been far superior.

As for choice of uniform, he was the regimental colonel of the Welsh Guards in 1975.

Pretty ugly and satanic as hell. The queen is in hell, burning forever and he is well on his way. Cropped and mirrored there's blatant occulted symbology, no different than the ugly painting of barack hussein sitting in front of background of green nature. Same mirroring and cropping can be done to see the devils goat head on his painting as well.

I don't like this at all. The background overwhelms the entire picture and acts like a foreground instead of a background. Charles is a very handsome man and a traditional portrait of him would have been more appropriate for this purpose.
