King Charles portrait vandalized?

The official portrait of UK King Charles III has been vandalized by animal rights activists, while on display in a London gallery.

The king is the royal patron of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA), and the RSPCA has been criticized for allowing animal farms in Britain to violate rules.

Activists covered the king’s head with an image of the British cartoon character Wallace, from the “Wallace and Gromit” comedy series. A speech bubble sign was then also tacked onto the painting with the following caption: “No cheese Gromit, look at all of this cruelty on RSCPA farms.”

Ironically, the King's wife, Queen Camilla, earlier told a group of children that “Wallace and Gromit are his favorite people in the world.”

The portrait, already controversial in Britain, was not viewed well by G@G users...

As a dual British/American citizen, I couldn't care less about Former Prince Charles, let alone that abomination of a portrait! I mean what happened in there, during the sitting?

It’s such a terrible portrait! Compare it to Queen Elizabeth II first official portrait! I fully believe he should have done what his grandfather's brother did, and abdicated. Only to his son, not his brother! However…. That being said, ANYONE who vandalizes art, especially for a “cause”. Needs to do at a minimum FIVE years in maximum security prison! AND pay the costs to restore the work of art! Fuck those selfish morons! I absolutely LOVE animals! My family pays hundreds of thousands a year to a chimpanzee sanctuary, and a tiger sanctuary every year! I plan on doing the same for the humane society once I get access to my trust fund so they can hire more people, expand the kennels, and hopefully become a no-kill shelter. As a family we've paid a LOT to lobby the county to ban dog and cat breeding, and hopefully soon they’ll pass a law that as long as there are suitable dogs that need rescuing, you cannot get a license for a purebred dog! But vandalizing art? No screw them! This is getting worst because the know they can get a LOT of free press by destroying art! So start putting them in prison for a LONG time! If they glue their hand to the art, Then medically AMPUTATE THEIR HANDS! (well not until the work of art is protected against blood stains!). This will only get worse, and our ability to view art without bulletproof glass covering it will disappear forever! Screw these activists! They are ONLY doing this because they KNOW that absolutely NOTHING will happen to them! That needs to chance! Block the road, we get to run you over! Run onto a football pitch during a game… You become the ball, and every player gets a kick! (Then 5 years maximum security getting sold to the guy or woman with the most cigarettes!) destroy art, 10 years maximum security! There are plenty of wealthy art lovers who would GLADLY help pay for their incarceration! because after the first or second one get’s 5 to 10 years… THEN it will stop! You’ll notice how they don’t do it in the States where we are all armed! (Oh sorry they did it ONCE, and the Native American Reservation police crashed through the trailers they were all chained to! They’ve NEVER pulled that shit again! Britain needs to reinstate free speech, and star imprisoning dickheads who destroy art!

The truth is animal welfare is covered by animal health officers and the police not by the rspca. Some producers sign up to rspca standards as a publicity stunt or their customer wants it but most don't.

The issue recently comes from a covert video that's supposed to show cruelty on various farms. The problem is its easy to mash loads of snips of isolated incidents together and make things look bad.

Truth is animals will get sick and injure themselves just as humans do and its not unusual to find ones got a nasty cut or managed to kill itself on your daily inspections. The problem is if a member of the public finds it first they can take a video and blow things out of proportion.

If the inspectors visit all you have to do is show your treatment records and they're happy. Where there is a problem 99% of the time it's the farmers 80 years old and senile or its a townie with zero experience and training who's bought a farm and is running it organically treating his animals through the power of dance

As per @purplepoppy says, these people tend to have zero clue as to how farms operate or the amount of effort a farming FAMILY put into raising their livestock. That livestock is their cash flow, you need to ensure it’s raised correctly, looked after, a look at vet bills for your average farm will show how much is spent on their welfare. I am fine with people protesting, however it should not impact the lives of others, such as stop oil idiots, nor should it result in the destruction or vandalising of property including ‘stuff’ that belongs to the nation.

I've never thought much of King Charles as any guy that would plot to murder a wife as gorgeous and kind that the people loved meaning Princess Diana so he could marry that ugly hag Camilla whom he was already having an affair with needs his head examined. Aside from that no artwork should be tampered with even if it was kind of ugly and too red. Thst is anninsult to the artist more than to king Charles. I also don't support these anti cruelty to animals dopes the slaughter house dispatch the animals as humanely as possible and we need the meat to eat. If we resorted back to everyone hunting animals for meat it wouldn't be done as humanely as the slaughter houses do it.
