What do you think of the activist who vandalized Winston Churchill's statue?

While I am not from the UK, from what I understand of him, he was a hero, he rallied the people of Britain. I can't understand why some idiot would do such horrible things to his statue in parliament square.

If we’re talking about history then yes I did do all the things he’s being accused of.


That doesn’t mean vandalizing a statue is ever ok.


It’s a sign of a weak and juvenile mind that childishly cries and clamors while asking for something it is not at all owed.


Churchill himself coined the line “history is written by the victor”
By winning world war 2 his war crimes became acts of justice and the war crimes of the nazis were put on trial.
It’s an entirely hypothetical process.
Had the nazis won the same thing would have happened in reverse.


And as far as Palestine goes, yes his country did sell a land it did not technically own to fund the war effort but if we’re talking about technicalities the “Palestinians” have never technically owned the land either


But that’s a whole different beast of a story to tell about the levant and the wars fought over it under the guise of it being a holy land for every mono atheist religion and even a few pagan ones


Still doesn’t mean you can defile a statue and be right about it.

History says otherwise, and it's not a genocide. It's retaliation for terror attacks, mass murder, kidnappings, sex slavery and gang rapes hamas did.

I get t the connection. People talk about "civilians killed by bombs' and Churchill was never accused of this, so the side "free palestine" put churchil on the same side as Zionists who shot at terrorism when the civilians nearby died. I oppose the graffiti on statues but i also oppose the statue. You don't have a statue for every prime minister so Churchill shouldn't because he was not a good leader in the war, so being prime minister isn't enough!
