I can understand that there certainly is a problem , and what happened should not have happened.
However erecting a statue? Of a serial criminal , I think thats pushing it , the intent may be good , circumstances horrendous , but I dont see him as a hero , while we persist in pulling down other such statues.

I am not going to say yes or no. Because this is just a peace offering to appease people. He deserves to be alive. I am glad they did it though. I hope all the officers involved and all the people standing around see it and feel guilty for not doing the right thing and stepping in. I would love nothing more to put all of them on trail, because they are just as guilty in his death as the officers.
