The United states as of today is the most powerful country on the planet compared to all other powers and nations combined. The mongols under temujin (ghengis khan) had destroyed the most powerful empire of the world in their day which was the persianized turkic kingdom of the khwarazmian empire and took its land and women and riches.

Imagine if someone today were to hack the system and somehow turn the us into a an absolute dictatorship and the military was on his side no matter what he did and did brutal invasions of Canada and Latin America and Africa and could easily fight off the world and sections. Couod you see a real life scenario of that happening?

Not really. China had grown complacent and decadent; the only real threat to the nascent Mongol empire was the Khwarazamites, and they were torn apart when they failed to take the Mongols seriously. The push further west, however, was only possible because the Caliphate and the eastern Christian nations had been Crusading against one another for more than a century. Bluntly put, the Mongols expanded so far only because there was really no one left to seriously resist them- look at what Ivalyo did with a bunch of pitchfork-armed turnip farmers.

People look at Genghis as primarily a military leader, and his accomplishments in that field are obvious enough, but his role as a diplomat is where he really shines. Picture someone peaceably uniting all of the LA street gangs. Now deepen the grudges by hundreds of years and the distances by thousands of miles, and you have an idea of what he pulled off. The closest thing the US has EVER had to that was Fred Rogers, who would find the whole idea of war morally abhorrent.
